We fall so we can get back up

This past month has been insane with highs and lows. i have been traveling for pleasure and for work. Guess what happens when i travel… i gain weight and get off of my normal workouts. i’m forced to eat out and many times i overeat because i take comfort in the foods at each restaurant along with a cocktail. i feel like i have fallen hard, but now is the time to get back up and clean my body from all the toxins i have put in it as well as get back into my intense workouts. Summer can be a tough time for many of us…we kill ourselves to look good for the pool or beach and then indulge and gain it all back. i’m on my way back, slowly climbing, but i’m on my way. Join me if you feel like you have fallen from fitness too.

Jillybean’s Update

I want to update you all on my life. It is super busy with work and I have no time right now to make new videos. I’m so sorry for the disappointment. I will try to make new workout and recipe videos in the future. But for now my site will remain up and you can always check out my YouTube site for future videos. Thanks for your support.
Keep dreaming big.

Drop the Fear

So last night I met my workout partner at her house. She takes me to her backyard where we are going to do a circuit workout together. This wasn’t one of my normal workouts. She had me trying to flip over huge tracker tires, throwing sledge hammers, doing box jumps onto the tire, and jumping rope in grass! When she showed me what we were doing for the workout, I was kinda intimidated and fearful. But once it was over and my body was beat, I was happy I did it. so, I wanted to remind all of you to drop the fear of new workouts and challenges. Our bodies love change. Make it a priority this week to try a different type of workout, maybe an aerobic class, or a trail run, or hit the heavy weights. Just be bold and challenge your body.

Dance, dance, dance!

Some of my favorite cardio sessions lately have been me, alone, blasting dance music and melting away fat. Sometimes running on the treadmill sounds terrible and I just need an emotional booster. So, I turn up my music really loud and dance away. Even if you are a mom, you can turn up the jams and dance with your kids. They will probably love it. It’s important to not limit what you do to burn calories. Just try it, set up your favorite dance songs on your iPod and let them play for 30-60 minutes and just dance your heart out.

My favorite breakfast

So right now I have an avocado smoothie every morning for my breakfast. I love the taste and texture and the way it fills me up for hours. Avocados are high in fiber and good fat.
Also, I have seen a big difference in my skin and hair. I make it sometimes for my hubby but I add fruit because he is trying to put on weight so it makes for a nice hearty breakfast.

Ok so here is what I put in it:
1 whole avocado (without the skin and pit)
Lots of baby spinach
Little bit of parsley
2 cups water
Stevia to taste
(banana if you want more calories)

Let me know what you think???
